I have around 74.5 percentile in JEE Main. In Thapar counselling, these branches are mentioned under direct admission/seat availability type categories:

• Biomedical Engineering
• Biotechnology
• Civil Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Civil with Computer Applications
• Electronics (Instrumentation & Control)
• Mechanical Engineering
• Mechatronics

My doubt is:

If I fill these branches higher in preference order, will my chances of getting admission increase?

Or should I first fill:
CSE > MnC > ECE
and then core branches below them?

Basically, does preference order matter for these direct admission/vacant seat branches or not?

I gave the NIOS April 2025 improvement exam for Computer Science because I was short by around 5 marks for 75% overall. After coming home and calculating my marks, I think I’m getting around 27/60, but I need 32/60 to reach 75%.

I attempted all the questions, but in some questions maine kuch bhi likh diya aaise hi bana bana kar bas khali nahi chodda

So I wanted to ask people who have experience with NIOS checking:

• Is NIOS checking lenient or strict in CS?
• Do they give partial/step marks easily?
• Can marks increase from estimated 27 to around 32 in theory?
• Has anyone gotten more marks than expected in NIOS checking?

Just stressed right now and wanted honest opinions from people who’ve gone through NIOS checking before.

Where do I get the new improvement marksheet after giving an improvement exam in NIOS? I give improvement exam in CS in october 2025 only one subject will I get a new consolidated marksheet with all 5 subjects or only the improved subject marksheet?
