Jam on tonverk :)
just wanted to share my jam on tonverk
just wanted to share my jam on tonverk
just wanted to share beat I made with my new tonverk:)
hi,
Hope you are doing well. If you are owning tonwerk I would appriste you sharing your honest opinion.
How do you like it so far?
What function it fills in your setup?
What genres of music you feel it makes you gravitate towards?
how does it compare to other elektron boxes, if you have any?
hi,
hope you don’t mind me asking stupid questions.
First things first I do understand that DN snd DT are different devices and one is a synth and another is the sampler.
My current setup is sp404mk 2 and moog messenger. I am doing trapanes/samurai trap beats (free flow flava style). Which is quite sample heavy workflow. I basically need both some FM and probably a better way to handle my drums. As it is quite cumbersome to program the hat rolls.
So I am probably spending to much time trying to figure out which setup would be better.
By one hand I hope joining sp and dt would allow me to program drums and add FX late. or even handle the whole thing and bounce samples between them. I however have no idea if having two samplers would be redundan. I am also not sure how good the DT is at making trap style beats. I mostly see it used for house and techno.
By other hand I really would use some polyphon. I really like the sound of the DN2 and it seems to me it could be cool to use it as a presset box. and I was thinking I still could use the sequencer to control my sp pads and get best of both world?
Not sure however how viable that would be. And I don’t know how good dt2 is at sample mangling. The comb filter spunds kinda cool.
PS. I eve tried using both at the store but I kinda yet don’t understand the workflow so I ended up just trying the dn2 presets which sounded really cool.
