Hi! I have an old 1980 f150 farm truck that I just use every few months. The truck runs fine but I do have to use starting fluid if it sits more than three weeks or so. I am not much of a mechanic but I noticed these...things in the engine underneath the carburetor intake. (see photo)

Question: what are they? Should there be vacuum lines from or to them that have been lost over the years?

Been looking everywhere online but can't find any reference to them...
