We had to put our cat down today
Lil Mister was 8 years old. He was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease 2 months ago and he got to the point this weekend where his quality of life was not good. We had to make the call and had a vet come to our house so he could be in the place he loved. When we brought him home 8 years ago, we were told he'd be lucky to make it through the night. We nursed him back to health and got to have 8 wonderful years with him. He was an incredible comfort for us through my wife's miscarriages and he got to be here to be our papa mister to our two kids. Whenever my son woke up from a bad dream crying, mister would be running to his room to check on him with us.
It hurts so much to have him gone, and it feels so weird that life just goes on. If you look back in my post history you can see a couple of his baby pictures when we first rescued him
