Turbo oil banjo bolt not going all the way in on the block side, pliz help
Hello my fellow S-chassis owners and CA18 enjoyers, I’m once again asking for your help.
I’m completing my turbo installation on my S13 CA18DET, going from the stock one to a Garrett GT2554R. I’ve ordered a kit of oil and water braided lines from Kinugawa and installed everything (I suppose) correctly. I put the water lines in, no surprise there, it went smoothly, I installed the banjo bolt with the restrictor on the turbo for the oil inlet and when I went to install the last banjo remaining on the engine block, the bolt stops halfway through and I need to force in order to screw it in. I don’t want to force it too much because I don’t want to break more shit and I feel like it’s going to break something.
My question is, do I need to remove the sort of support that’s on the block (if it’s possible to remove it) or is there something wrong with my banjo bolt?
I assumed everything was thought through since it’s a kit made for this but maybe I’m wrong and I’m missing something.
If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks a lot
