PSA: If you have been farming Helltide in higher torments, you've likely missed a Trace of Echoes
This is what the actual key looks like. Observe the genius design:
- Colored exactly like an Aberrant Cinder, so you will never see it among the hundreds of Cinder drops during helltide
- No beam of light shooting to the sky to indicate its position
- No unique drop sound
- No icon on map
- No "auto-sent to stash if not picked up" safety net
- Literally rarer than mythic uniques
- Not stackable or tradable, can only ever have 1 at a time
It's cool that Blizzard introduced another new endgame activity (even if it's quite literally a copy-paste of the Echoing Nightmares from D3), but why make it so rare that people are spending literally 50+ hours farming endgame content without getting a single key to drop?
