HELP] All my games close immediately on launch — but another Steam account works fine on the same PC
Hey everyone, I've been dealing with this issue for a while and I'm out of ideas.
**The problem:** Every single game on my Steam account, opens, shows "Running", sometimes flashes a black screen, and then closes immediately with no error message.
**The key detail:** I tested another Steam account on the exact same PC, with the exact same game installations, and everything works perfectly. This proves it's not a hardware, driver, or game issue — it's something specific to my account.
**My specs:**
- CPU/GPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G (integrated graphics)
- RAM: 16GB
- OS: Windows 11
**Everything I've already tried:**
- Verified integrity of game files
- Reinstalled Steam twice (keeping steamapps folder)
- Disabled Steam overlay
- Deleted localconfig.vdf and userdata folder
- Reinstalled Visual C++ redistributables
- Uninstalled Norton 360 (expired antivirus)
- Disabled Xbox Game Bar
- Disabled Steam Cloud sync
- Checked folder permissions
- Created a new Windows user and tested — still broken
- Ran games in compatibility mode and as administrator
- Tested in Steam offline mode
- Checked Steam console logs — game process is added and removed in seconds, no window is ever created
**Steam support was no help** — they just sent generic troubleshooting steps and closed the ticket, ignoring the fact that another account works on the same machine.
Has anyone ever seen this before? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
