Obese people, do you feel patronized by positive comments?

I see this morbidly obese guy walk into our gym all the time and Idk who he is but I genuinely really respect his drive and dedication. He is black and 95% of my gym is white people who only talk to other white people and my town has a bit of a racism problem, no one ever talks to him for that probably because he’s different.

If he ever falls out of his good habit and end up back in his eating addiction I feel like I’ll be filled with regret. “Why didn’t I try to befriend him” or “maybe if he knew some people believe in him he wouldn’t give up so easily”.

But I also don’t want to come off as some morally virtuous fit dude that’s tryna give compliments to make myself feel better. Have there been times at the gym where someone’s positive comments really kept you going? Or have there been times when people tell you how awesome you are in it feels insincere and patronizing.

Telescopes seem overrated and not better than binoculars (hear me out)

So i have love for astronomy and space. I really want an 8 or 10 inch dobsonian. I don’t care just for Astro photography but rather seeing its through my own eyes. Though when I try and see what I may experience online. It either looks like they use some ai enhancement to make the image clearer and prettier, or its looks smuggy and pretty 95% as similar in quality to what I see through a good pair of binoculars?

What does it actuallyyyy look like. I know it hard to say for sure because of atmospheric turbulence, exposure times, light pollution. But from everything I seen it seems hardly better than some nice binoculars.

Am I wrong? I don’t expect to be seeing the pubic hair follicles of Jupiter but if it’s smuggy dot in my binoculars and a slightly less smuggy dot in a $1200 telescope then what’s the hype?

140 to 155

First time I took my lsat prep tests I got 140, after not very much studying, prep, skipping bloat questions. I got a 155 on my 2nd attempt which suprised me because I really have been slacking. I got almost all the question right in the first 3/4 of each sections then had to guess for the last few on each section. Which was where the vast majority of my wrong answers.

Would getting a 170 be possible or that far off? If I actually start giving a f and studying more than an hour a day.
