Why is my kombucha never fizzy? 😩

Hello! I’ve made a few batches of kombucha now and the flavour actually tastes really good, but I cannot seem to get it fizzy/carbonated 😩

I’m doing a second ferment in bottles and leaving them at room temp, but they still end up pretty flat. I’ve tried adding fruit and a bit of sugar but no major difference.

What finally made your kombucha fizzy? Any beginner mistakes I might be making?
