Canadians - wait for Gov funding or pay OOP for IVF/IUI?

Hi guys,

I’m hoping to get some advice from Canadian fellows, especially the ones in BC and in the process of getting funding from the gov.
My consultation date was Oct 2025 and doctor said most likely by the end of this year, it would be our turn.
Currently I’m 35 and ttc for a year and a half in the unexplained category.
Since we started ttc, 6 people we know gotten pregnant and frankly, my mental health is at the rock bottom. We chatted about doing IVF oop now, and apply for the government funding if failed.
Or we can do 2 rounds of IUI and just wait for the government funding, then pay OOP if the first one failed.
At the age of 35 and 36 by the end of the year, I’m worried my AMH will declined and everything will be too late. WMy AMH was 3.46 tested 7 months ago.
P.s, HSG, blood tests, SA all clear, with 2 fibroids (1 is 2cm and the other one is outside of the uterus) Chronic BV

No LH peak after letrozole?

Hi guys we are TTC for 18 months - just found out another family member is pregnant today and we are honestly devastated.
We pretty much went through every testing except for laparoscopy but all tests came back fine. My periods are also pretty regular. My doctor put me on letrozole 5mg for the last 4 cycles and no luck.
This month, I’m taking a break from the meds. I did noticed ewcm 3 days before my predicted O day, which matched all my previous cycles. However, I just couldn’t get a positive LH test. For the last 18 months, I can get an LH peak but just not this month. I’m 6 days past my predicted O day and still no peak.
AI says previous usage of letrozole might cause the ovaries to be “lazy” with LH excretion and next month things should be normal again. Has this happened to anyone????
