Ladies who use nuvaring and have struggled with pancreatitis
I don’t know who this may help, but I have had 3 rounds of pancreatitis in the last year and a half. Just getting over my third. I started the nuvaring 2 years ago for context but while I was in med surg I started looking into all of my medications trying to figure out what is causing my pancreatitis, and turns out if you have lipid conditions and they’re genetic (familial hypertriglyceridemia) especially that the nuvaring will put you into pancreatitis. None of my doctors notified me of this or seem to know anything about it, they all knew my history and medications but after reading through all of their warnings online and trials and etc on like the FDA website and such I am like 100% positive this is my problem. So I will be discontinuing using the nuvaring as well as any estrogen based birth controls.
