Wrong Comune / AIRE Issues
Hi everyone, I’m hoping someone here has dealt with a similar AIRE/Fast It issue and can point me in the right direction.
My whole life I believed I was registered in AIRE through the Comune di Colloredo di Monte Albano. Back in 2021, I submitted my AIRE registration through Fast It using that comune and never received any indication that it was incorrect.
More recently, I had communication with a prior Italian consulate/embassy that referenced me as being registered in the Comune di Roma instead. That completely confused me because I had never heard that before.
Now with the newer Fast It system, when I log in it says I am not registered in AIRE. However, it also will not let me submit a new AIRE registration request (the button is disabled/unavailable).
I’ve tried contacting the Philadelphia consulate/anagrafe multiple times by email and have not received any response.
Has anyone experienced:
- Fast It saying you are not registered while your record actually still existed?
- issues caused by being tied to the wrong comune?
- account linkage problems between Fast It and AIRE?
Would you recommend contacting the comuni directly first? Trying to associate an existing record? Creating a new Fast It account? I’m trying to avoid accidentally creating duplicate records or making the situation worse.
