This summer I am going to be a research assistant for a PhD student doing lake research. I am an environmental science major and I’m hoping to get into law school after graduation. My long term goal is to get into environmental law. Will being a RA help me at all for the future or even getting into law school besides my gpa and lsat

Would it be inappropriate to ask or submit a letter of recommendation for grad school from someone I worked with the summer before I am applying. He was my head boss and the PhD student I worked unders PI
