Hi everyone, has anyone tried the Museum of Science and Industry’s escape room experience? How was it, and did you go with or without kids? If you went with kids, how old were they and did they enjoy the experience? Just wondering if it’s worth the $35-$40.

Hi everyone, I will be in Galway soon for work. I have lots of leeway getting into the city and settled in, but less so leaving the city.
I have a ticket for an express (Rt. 51) coach bus for a Monday morning at 9:05 a.m. in Galway City; it says arrival at Shannon Airport is 10:49 a.m. Is that fairly reliable/trustworthy? My international flight out is at 12:30 p.m. I’m assuming I’ve given myself plenty of time to make my flight barring any unforeseen circumstance, but am I being naive? Should I be taking an earlier bus?
Someone posted about this a day or so ago in the Nic sub. This is a super cute Irish cartoon called Pins and Nettie that aired during Covid. I believe Nic voiced the first 13 episodes in 2020. At some point, her narration stops and the rest of the episodes have no dialogue whatsoever; you have to just follow the action. All the episodes are very short and sweet. YouTube has a bunch of the episodes, but not all. The rest are on more obscure paid subscription services.
This is total speculation on my part, but I wonder if Nic voiced these during lockdown when she was living back in Ireland with her mom, then stopped when Bridgerton went back into production.
Anyway, if you’re a sucker for Nic’s voice acting, enjoy!
Setting the scene: someone will be in Ireland for the first time ever and will be limited to the Galway region. They have a choice between 3 excursions, each lasting about a day and costing the exact same amount. They may choose one and ONLY one. Here are the choices:
Barren and Cliffs of Moher, passing through Kinvara and Ballvaughan. Visit to Poulnabrone Dolmen and lunch stop in Doolin on the way. Coast road with views of Aran Islands on return trip.
Connemara, Kylemore Abbey, and Cong; route includes Oughterard and Inagh Valley. Two hours at Kylemore. Then visit to Killarney Fjord, then Cong with opportunities for exploring the town, abbey, and woodlands walks.
Connemara and history of Trans-Atlantic Connection. First stop is Spiddal with time for beach and/or Craft Village. Views of Maamturk & Twelve Bens mountain ranges. Then Marconi Loop Walk at Derrigimlagh Bog. Lunch & exploration in Clifden.
The visitor has no experience with any of these places so all would be equally novel. Anything you would consider can’t miss? Is there a clear stand out here?
What’s the journey like from Shannon Airport to Galway City if one has no car or doesn’t use Uber? Do busses run regularly back and forth, even through the night/early morning? Are taxis that don’t require apps in good supply or are they harder to find these days? Not planning on a rental car as I will mostly just be walking while in Galway for a week.
I have been hearing about the unprecedented heat wave currently happening in much of western Europe: wondering if this extends to Ireland and specifically Galway? Or is it relatively mild there now? Also, I will be in Galway for an academic conference for about a week in early August. What is the weather typically like then? Is there reason to believe it will be warmer than usual?
