The National Debt crisis
Senate Majority Leader John Thune acknowledged “$40 trillion in debt, seems to me that should get our attention,” though lawmakers left for August recess without acting despite Trump’s calls to address the “ever looming Debt Ceiling disaster.” Unlike past debt-limit increases that included spending cuts, the 2025 One Big Beautiful Bill Act added $5 trillion to the ceiling while also piling on $4.7 trillion in projected deficits over the next decade. Republicans stand by and support Trump's actions. Nebraska ... are you really going to continue to vote for representatives that support this nonsense?
