Does Kit need a redemption arc?
I don’t think he’s enough of a villain (just a jerk at times) to require one, but the majority of viewers appear to despise him. I’ve done the maths and I think I can say he’s the 5th most hated character (although; I adore him most of the time). Sam might now be ahead.
Carl has been redeemed (I can’t quite remember how, was it to do with the gun?)
What could Kit for the viewers to stop hating him? Is it even possible?
I know naturally getting cancer doesn’t make up for what he’s done, but if he confesses he hates who he is and feels he deserves it (I don’t think he does), would the viewers go easier on him, or are there some that hope he won’t survive?
What if he locks up Ross, Jodie, Idris & Lucy?
The Beth thing was awful, but I don’t see how he could make up for that (unless he brings Craig back to life). It should never have happened in the first place and I can only hope the writers were intending on him being more evil than he actually is (& Beth never would’ve left Craig or Kirk by choice). I also hate the way he acted towards Gary.
This SL should show a different side of him (esp with Brody). He has been given a LOT of screen time, but it’s been more to do with work than his personal life. I hope he’ll become a nicer person.
