"Sean, can I get a large pint of water....?"
As opposed to a small pint of water Karla?

Does anyone else find it weird that we don’t see the Driscolls in last night’s episode when the one before that set up the truth with Alan coming out to Ollie and Will? I hope they’re not gonna ditch this part of the story for the next few episodes because I’m still baffled they just forgot Maggie after the argument scene at the dinner table when Megan is causing all this. I need to see Will finding out that Megan blackmailed Maggie about it.
I'd have been about 10 during the Richard Hillman story and remember loving it.
Was this kind of the start of the serial killers/baddies.
I know Alan Bradley was in it however since Richard there always seems to be bad baddie in it.
People always say now that Coronation Street has gone to dark. However was there a similar feeling towards Richard?
He was constantly trying to kill Emily Bishop, scare Norris, scam Audrey, etc and killed a young mother.
On a side note I rewatched a lot of it online and Audrey was basically portrayed as an old woman at 58.
This storyline gets more and more ridiculous.
So now Summer is no doubt going to be charged, remanded and spend more days in prison than monsters like Theo ever did (or Carl for that matter). Even if Summer lied about being at the flat, the police would just haul her in for more questioning (like they did with Christina yesterday) and ask why she lied, not arrest her on suspicion of his murder! Like Sarah said at the end of the episode, ‘what evidence?’ But hey, this is the same soap and same Lisa Swain who had Roy on remand for months
In reality, whatever her motive - there’s not one person on the street who would believe Summer was capable of that.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say if again - Theo should’ve been charged for what he did to Todd, they should’ve shown Todd having the courage to give evidence against him in court, Theo should’ve been convicted and that should’ve been that. This whole whodunnit storyline has just taken away from all the hard work that Corrie spent on the Todd and Theo domestic abuse and coercive control storyline
Yes I love the football but as a soap opera fan it's gonna piss off a lot of people especially who hate football and like emmerdale and coronation street and eastenders and of course hollyoaks who won't be affected by this and yes I get it important for the whole world but don't u think we should have a channel for the world cup not on bbc or itv
I haven't watched in about 20 years but just recently have been catching up (watching what's on ITVX, so from 2023) and noticed there's quite a few experimental episodes—e.g. a Todd/Theo episode where it's filmed through various cameras, a David/Shona episode that shows the same events with each of them narrating.
Is my memory wonky and they've always done this, or is it a more recent thing?
Ever since I’ve started watching Corrie I’ve always been aware of the idea of people saying it’s not what it used to be but I’d always dismiss being a younger viewer of the show and have always enjoyed it ever since i first started watching during the acid attack storyline. But right now I’ve never felt so bored and lost inbetween all the storylines. The shortening down of the episodes have massively impacted quality as everything just feels completely rushed each day, the storylines are getting sloppy and almost completely boring bar a few scenes and in general the sheer amount of storylines at once.
Jodie has interacted with every man and his dog and caused enough drama to create 5 new plots and it’s still unclear why she’s even here, Sam is seeing ghosts, Maggie murdering Bens father and Ben being unforgiving, Megan’s whole situation, Carl somehow still alive but not been mentioned for over a week, Sarah going loopy after the attack, Theo’s murder case, Daniels situation with the online stuff and Wills whole situation. All this and bare in mind they’re throwing in a new character who we already know is going to add to a new storyline with Leanne! But instead of focusing on actually progressing the plots THEYRE HAVING ROY TALK ABOUT TRAINS AND HOW HIS SHOP STAYED EXACTLY THE SAME AND HAVE KIRK BE PUSHED AROUND THE FACTORY IN A CHAIR . I’ve never felt so uninterested before.
It’s getting that bad I’m starting to wish I could hear Theo say cocker again. (Apologies for the rant)
After tonight’s episode I’m starting to strongly suspect that it’s Christina who is the guilty person. We didn’t actually see what was said at the police station, we only have her word what was said and what she said to George made it seem like it was something and nothing.
She also seems to want to throw Summer under the bus, like desperately so, she even made a comment to get George on side by saying the only other person who had real “beef” with Theo apart from Summer, was George himself. George knowing full well that he isn’t the killer now believes it could be Summer. By doing this Christina has deflected the blame from herself. Also out of all the comments Christina is the only character who I wouldn’t consider to be a main character.
I’m probably totally wrong, I usually am haha.
Does anybody have any interest in whatever this storyline is? I can't be doing with any more of the furtive behaviour and sly looks, without at least a bit of progression with the story. It's been months now and it's just boring.
Are Sam and Hope related or just good friends? They get along well and she really seems to get him.
I live in New Zealand and this only aired last night for me. The episode where Tim convinces Will to confess about Megan and talk to the police. Later on in the episode, they stop Megan from boarding a plane and arrest her. Will's dad tells Will that Megan only had one ticket and was going to leave without him.
What?! That would have been the perfect motivation for him to confess!!! Why did it not happen in that order? There's no way Will would believe his dad about that. It just came across that he was trying to convince Will to let Megan go. But if Will had have shown up to the airport and there was no ticket for him, that would have made sense. That's a much stronger motive than a random chat with a cab driver. Why include that plot point at all if it wasn't going to be the driving factor?
Have the writers forgotten he exists?!
I really don't care for a whodunit where the victim is someone who has a 'orient express' worth of suspects. I DONT CARE WHO KILLED THEO. Lisa has been reduced to a dislikeable minor character again. The police characters shouldn't be the ones interviewing the people they know, then off duty drinking in the local pub narrowing their eyes at twitching people coz they are nervous of police judging as they ARE judging them.
And to cap it, it's taken the big attention away from the coercive domestic abuse thing. The killer did the world a favour. Yes its still an arrestable crime, but now the fact Todd was in an abusive relationship is seeping into nothingness and I so dislike that we have this instead of a proper trial plot to put theo behind bars and give Todd closure, rather than all this accusation throwing between the people who should have each others back because they all should feel the same; "I wanted theo dead".
What Corrie characters do you think it was a mistake to kill off ??
Canadian here. We're behind the UK episodes and just got to see more action in Todd's flat above Dev's shop, and the layout get weirder. The bedroom entrance is right next to the flat entrance (flight of stairs). We got to see another curious door in the bedroom entrance alcove. That would seem to open midway up the adjacent stairwell. There's literally only the depth of a dividing wall so I doubt it's a closet. Also, what's the metal bar attachment above the actual bedroom door in the second photo?
Kit’s birthday today. Shame he has been banished to Wales…and a whole year since Craigy died! 🥺
Summer deserves some slack even if she did kill Theo, I mean it’s like everyone’s forgotten she’s just lost Billy and Theo was responsible I’ve lost respect for George grassing to Swain
I don't think I've ever heard anyone say this in real life and they don't usually say it yet it's been used multiple times in the past week. Did they get a discount on it?? Is this some initiative to revive old sayings??
