Im honestly suprised fizz hasn't officially adopted ruby as her daughter, same as tyrone and hope, i rember when tyrone and fizz told ruby that her biological mum kirsty had died, when tyrone started the conversation with " we've had some bad news about your mum" she automatically looks at fizz, showing that fizz is the only mum she has ever known, same as hope with tyrone but with dad obviously, so why tyrone and fizz never officially adopted their unbiologocal children like leanne with simon and ken with tracy is a bit of a mystery.

I recently bought lily alone and the mum in it ( Kate) really is absolutely awful, im sorry but she really doesn't deserve to get her kids back, im disappointed lily( and her brother and sisters ) going back to live with her is presented as a good thing ( lily makes a brief cameo in my mum tracy beaker, where she was one of cams foster daughters but jess mentions she went back to live with her mum ).

Im hoping if lily alone evers gets an adult sequel one day, its mentioned after getting her kids back, Kate does exactly the same thing again and goes on holiday with another new boyfriend leaving the kids on their own again, and this time it leads to them being taken from her permanently and they end up with a nice foster family who takes all four of them.

The amount of actors from the tracy beaker franichise who later/ previously appeared on eastenders is almost unbelievable

Michelle Collins who played Cindy beale played mikes wife fiona, charlie Brooks who played janine appeared in the dumping ground series 3 opener, tracy ann oberman who played chrissie watts ( though i know her best as auntie val from Friday night dinner) and lucy Benjamin who played Lisa was tylers boss mrs Bloomfield.

Not to mention the child/ teenage actors who made appearances :

1. Amy Leigh hickman ( carmen)

2. Mia mckennea Bruce ( tee)

3. Saffron coomber ( sapphire)

4. Leanne dunstan ( faith)

5. Kasey mckellar ( Bailey)

To be honest, when I first found out penny branning was returning, who tees actress mia mckennea Bruce briefly played in 2008, i was a little surprised that mia wasnt reprising the role since she is still acting, but then I realised they would probably want an actual wheelchair user to play the role.

Am i the only one who thinks the scene in the dawn treader where the sea serpent attacks and lucy takes gael down below is a call back to the first scene in the lion, the witch and the wardrobe where Susan takes lucy out of her room when the bombs drop.

Does anyone else own any fraggle rock funko pops figures ?

I own figures of all the main fraggles ( gobo, Wembley, red, mokey and boober ) and each one comes with a small doozer figure, but i think its a little odd how the only prominent doozer included is cotterpin ( who shares a box with Wembley) the other four are just random doozers, it feels a bit of a wastes opportunity not to include the other prominent doozer characters in the show ( wrench, the architect, and cotterpins parents flange and wingnut ).

I think it would have been good if they had paird flange up with mokey ( as a nod to the great radish famine ), boober with wrench, red with wingnut and gobo with the architect ( since they all share the same puppeter ).

Another thing that suprises me is the only other fraggle rock characters to have figures are uncle matt and sprocket and that doc isn't included which supeises me considering hes the only character to appear in all 96 episodes of the show.

If more funko pops of fraggle rock characters are released in the future, some id really like to see are :

1. Doc

2. Junior

3. Ma

4. Pa

And a larger exclusive figure of the trash heap with little models of philo and gunge sitting on her.

Throughout the story of tracy beaker, tracy beaker returns and a lot of the dumping ground, mike makes lots of mentions of his family " his mum, his dad and his great uncle declan" implying he grew up in a regular family, but then suddenly come reunion in s7 its revealed that mike grew up in a care home with his twin brother and they never knew their birth mother until the end of that episode.

Its possible all of Mike's relatives mentioned in previous episodes were his foster/ adoptive family but if that's the case surely they would have been mentioned in reunion when mike meets his mum, it just feels a bit strange how mike suddenly being care comes completely out of nowhere with no build up at all.

In floss first appearance its mentioned that she was scared of her mum and used to hide from her, but from s2 onwards its said floss mum abandoned her in a nail bar when she was an 18 month old baby, although like before this could be explained as the woman floss used to hide from being her foster/ adoptive mother, but i can't help but wonder why the writers decided to change it, since this also could have easily have made an interesting back story for floss.

Am i the only one who thinks its a shame jim henson didn't make more original films after the dark crystal and labriynth?

I recently saw someone comment on a post about jacqueline wilson including more non white characters in her books they pointed out how a lot of jacqueline wilson protagonists could have easily have been made non white and their stories wouldn't have been affected at all.

I think her most recent tv adaptations of her books prove this :

1. Katy, clover and their mum and dad are made black and while changes are made to the story, their ethnicity is entirely irrelevant.

2. Destiny, sunset and their familes are all made black and while the story is very Very different to the book, again it has nothing to do with the characters skin colour.

3. Phoebe and her siblings are made mixed race ( their mum being black and their dad being white) in the primrose railway children, and while i admittedly havent properly watched the primrose railway children series, from the bits I have seen i dont think them being mixed race is really relevant to the story.

I once had an idea for a sleepovers film/ series adaptation where daisy and her family were all made black ( with the girl playing lily having the same disabilities as her ) Emily and her family all being Japanese and chloe being mixed race ( with a black dad and white mum), amy and Bella would still be Indian and white as in the books.

Since they have been including non white characters in the book adaptations, I honestly dont see why jacqueline wilson couldn't do something similar and write an original book about / focousing on a non white family.

Does anyone else find the dumping ground episodes with fantasy elements a little weird / off putting ?

Except for maybe the beaker witch project episode ( with the cloaked figure in the woods) all the episodes of the story of tracy beaker were all very realistic ( well realistic as in nothing supernatural happened) and when something supernatural did happen it was always presented as being tracys dream ( life's a carbert and tracys daydream ).

As of the dumping ground series 6 episode 13 stuck, the show started doing episodes where something supernatural/ fantasy happens to some of the characters :

1. Stuck : sasha ends up reliving the same day again and again

2. Moment of truth : thanks to a magic stone jay finds himself unable to lie

3. The tooth fairy: at the end of the episode the tooth fairy is implied to be real since chelsy catches her sparkles on film on her tablet.

4. Swapsies: doreen and shanice swapped bodies

But unlike the story of tracy beaker, all these examples really happened, while I am a big fan of fantasy, it just feels a little weird/ off putting that a show usually about kids facing real life / day to day issues has episodes like this.

I know its proably to appeal to more newer/ younger viewers but to me it still feels a little off putting.

I know people obviously change their minds, but i just find it a little funny how cam says in the finale episode of tracy beaker returns series 1 " tracy was just a one off, no way would I ever go through that again " yet two episodes later fosters lily, then come my mum tracy beaker shes a full time foster parent with several foster daughters 😆

One thing I think the newer seasons of the dumping ground do better than the older ones, is how they've gone back to having three careworkers instead of just two.

This might be an unpopular opinion, but i kind of wish when the dumping ground started as its own series, melanie had been kept on as a regular character, ( I know the actress had retired from acting but they could have recasted her ), apparently according to the writers the reason Melanie left elm tree house was because she thought tracys boots were too big for her to fill so she resigned.

While obviously no one can replace tracy beaker ( and Dani hamer), i still think Melanie should have stayed since she was clearly a very skilled careworker in her own way and was seemingly the only care worker who knew what to do when jody had her allergic reaction.

Not to mention it creates a bit of a plot hole since mike and gina were shown to be struggling with just the two of them at the start of tracy beaker returns ( hence why they hired tracy ), but by the time of the dumping ground they seem to manage just fine between the two of them.

I know if Melanie had been kept on as a series regular for the dumping ground some of the episodes storylines would have been done very differently ( particularly home alone ), but I still think it could have worked.

If tracy had still been in the show in the dumping ground series 3, in the episode where the government try to send kazima back to Somalia, i can definitely see her attempting a " tracy plan" to stop it, do you think it would have been successful or ended up like her protest to stop the kids from going to Burnywood did ?

Its proably just a coincidence but does anyone else ever wonder if the writers of tracy beaker returns / the dumping ground get storyline ideas from jacqueline wilson books.

For example the book the worst thing about my sister and the tracy beaker returns episode going home both revolve around two sisters with very different personalities ( both examples included the older sister being the more traditionally feminine one, wears a pink shirt, has long straight brown hair and is called Melissa ).

In the dumping ground toni mentions how her dad deliberately let her pet rabbit get eaten by foxs when he left the rabbit hutch open, something that was previously done in the jacqueline wilson book cookie where the main character beauty gets a pet rabbit but her abusive dad deliberately leaves the hutch door open so it gets eaten by a fox.

Finally I discovered a book written by jacqueline wilson in 2003 where the main character who is called jayni goes into hiding with her mum and younger brother so their abusive dad and husband can't find them and in doing so they all get new names with jaynis new name being lola rose.

I definitely think candi roses storyline of hiding from her parents and having a fake identity was inspired by this book especially since both the fake names end in rose, im not going to lie when I find out candi rose wasnt her actual name, i was hoping her real name would be revealed to be jayni as a fun little reference to the book so i was honestly a little disappointed when her real name was revealed to be Courtney, it felt a little bit of a wasted opportunity.

Its been confirmed jacqueline wilson is writing another adult sequel for one of her books and its rumoured to be for bad girls.

If this turns out to be true, im hoping an older april from dustbin baby might make a cameo ( since its confirmed both books take place in the same world), considering how well she and tanya got on ( since they're both had very difficult childhoods ), it would be nice seeing them reunite as adults, even just for a brief moment, where april tells tanya about her adult life and marion is still very much a part of her life ( like tracy and cam in my mum tracy beaker), and maybe have april reveal that marion formally adopted her ( again like tracy and cam at the end of the story of tracy beaker tv show) some point after the events of dustbin baby.

Did bella annoy any one else when reading the best sleepover in the world ?

I dont just mean agreeing to go to chloes sleepover despite not being her friend anyone, but when she says ( rather nastily in my opinion to be honest) " yeah well she used to be our friend until daisy came to our school " she made it sound as if daisy deliberately stole Emily from chloe and chloe was the real victim despite knowing full well how vile chloe treated daisy before, and it was because of her daisy spends the marjorty of the book worrying that Emily was going to break friends with her.

It honestly really annoys me that bella never apologises to daisy for saying this when she and Amy reassure her they were still her friends. I honestly found it hard to feel sorry for bella when she is sitting on her own eating her chocolate in the playground and while amy also agrees to go to chloes sleepover later, she at least apologises to daisy about it and in the illustration where chloe is trying to get Emily to come to her sleepover, we can see Amy and bella watching them and to me anyway Amy looks as if she feels guilty about her decision to go to chloes party whereas bella just gives them a blank look.

Bella later wishing she hadn't said she'd go to chloe sleepover, offering not to go and offering daisy some chocolate is her redeeming herself but it still botheres me theirs never a moment in the book where she apologises to daisy for what she said, would anyone else agree with me ?

I've seen some people comment on how in a group photo of lots of jacqueline wilson characters, they whitewashed amy from sleepovers who's asian, but in the original sleepovers book illustrated by nick sharrat, amy is only depicted as having darker skin than her friends on the cover, in the black and white illustrations inside amy is illustrated as having the exact same skin tone as the other four girls, ( this was fixed in the later book the best sleepover ever ), to me its seems really weird that nick sharrat did this considering how he illustrated characters with darker skin in previous books ( jenny from the story of tracy beaker, Charlie's friend Angela in the lottie project and mr and mrs Patel from bad girls ).

Near the beginning of the seaside sleepover daisy mentions reading an " fantastic adventure story about strange creatures and a girl who could fly " i think this is meant to be a reference to Katherine rundells popular impossible creatures series which isn't too surprising considering jacqueline wilson has praised Katherine rundells, books before but usually when she refers to her characters reading books she usually chooses older stories ( little women, the railway children, the wishing chair and the secret garden ), instead of more modern books, is this the only example of a jacqueline wilson character enjoying a more recent book instead of an older one ?

By which I mean more recent real life books, not pretend books written by imaginary authors she made up like in clean break and midnight.

Am I the only one that thinks since the characters moved to porters Lodge, the writers of the show dont care that much about departure episodes anymore ?

Ben and izzy were both mentioned they would be leaving in the same episode in series 13, but neither of them get an official leaving episode, and while we at least get to see izzy one last time after she moves in with her aunt, Ben just suddenly disappears after episode 7 with no mention at all, not to mention doreen and wes who leave in-between season 13 and 14 with no mention at all.

While bonnie does get an onscreen leaving episode, I feel like it is a bit overshadowed by frankies storyline with him trying to get into the school and the final scene is of frankie in his room on his own instead of bonnie leaving porters Lodge which to be honest I think is a bit disrespectful to Bonnie's actress considering how she was at that point the longest running character.

Now we've got ann, bernie and Josh as the care workers ( and Gardner) im hoping if the show continues past season 15, the three on them will stay on for a good few seasons.

I have been rereading the seaside sleepover where daisy meets beauty, and it made me wonder what it could have been like if jacqueline wilson had written more books where two characters from different books interact with each other.

I think mandy from bad girls would get along well with violet from midnight, they both like to pretend and they have both experienced horrible bullying ( kim and will ) and been backstabbed by someone they thought was a friend ( Melanie and jasmine, I know jasmine said it was unintentional but still ), what characters from two different books would you like to see interact?

Edit : Id forgotten violet was more closer to Tanya's age than mandy, but i still think they would get along and another jacqueline wilson character closer to mandys age who I think she'd be friends with is garnet from double act because they both enjoy pretending and are bad at standing up for themselves against others, I cant imagine ruby would be very found of mandy though she proably think " oh fabulous another judy 😒! " 😂

Considering how their are no promotional images of katy in her wheelchair, ( only a few black and white illustrations in the book ), it made me wonder do you think jacqueline wilson would ever write a book from the perspective of a child with a disability?

( i know we have natasha in the worry website but she only had one chapter to herself, I mean a whole book entirely from a disabled characters perspective).
