Soo I did a Thing...again
You all may remember the M2 post from last year. Well, here is a little update.
First I got some feedback om diameter of the outerbarrel: "it's to small". I 3D printed some Rings for a more or less accurate design.
I wasn't sure If some of the older 3D printed parts could handle the increased weight. I reprinted them with some minor changes and filled them with resin for extra durability
My sound- and loading-module is working fine.. for now. But I need to upgrade the coupling.
I didn't constructed the 3d printed parts of the loading-system by myselfe. I adapted the cal. 308 Electric Speedlaoder by Fishy Arisoft Creations to fitt Into an 50 Cal. Box and fitted the Feeding Tube (It's spring like on M60/M249 Boxmags)
The sound- and winding-functions are controlled by an Arduino Clone. Wrote the Loop by myselfe.
The tripod got the biggest upgrade. I wasn't happy with the dimensions and with the angle the arisoft could be aimed at. So Upgrade vom 3/4" to 1" Pipes. I built a locking system for the legs inspired by the original. The front-Leg got a different locking system. (The 5th silde for comparsion). I'm still not 100% Happy with the outcome I only used Pictures to build the tripod. I just recently found some blueprints on the M1919a Forum so maybe another upgrade ?
