I’m so confused about gender dysphoria…

I should mention that I am studying to me a pediatric therapist, and am trying to broaden my horizons before actually trying to help children. I’m trying really hard to understand it. From a cis man’s perspective, I’m still confused. I have a family friend who is a masc lesbian woman. She is very stereotypical masc woman, she rides motorcycles and runs a mechanic shop. I asked her if she’s ever felt gender dysphoria and she said, “yeah sure I might get along with men more than women, and have less stereotypical female presence, I know I am a woman I’ve never questioned it. This left me feeling confused on how gender dysphoria develops differently in people.

Why do Christians lie to themselves…

I was in the store with my religious mother when a man came up to her and asked why my mothers arm was is a sling. She had slipped and broke it 2 days prior and was complaining about serious pain all day. After explaining everything to this complete stranger, he asked to pray for my mom. After a long prayer, he told my mom to try and mover her broken arm. She was obviously wincing in pain to move it. He prayed 3 more times until my mother said that there was no pain. There were tears in her eyes and she was sweating from the pain but swore that she was healed. Before leaving the store she threw away her sling because “god told her to” I don’t know why she would put herself through that just to humor another religious guy. Is it placebo, or just delusion??
