Woman writes letters to child given up for adoption

A woman recollects her experience getting pregnant as a teen and being sent away to have the baby, which was taken for adoption. The story goes between the present day and letters written to the (now grown) baby as she searches for him. In the end, I think she finds out the baby had actually died a few days later, which comes as a huge shock.

-read in 1997-2002 in Michigan
-was available in hardcover in my local library, I BELIEVE in large print (which may narrow it down?). My library at the time was in a transitional space in a strip mall, so pretty small and with a very limited selection.
-cover may have had soft floral tones to it

I had asked about this a while ago, but no luck.

Hopefully this helps someone out before swimsuit season!

Body considerations: middle-aged, PCOS issues, c-section shelf, size 16/18, UK 34J

Things I tried in the recent past: Old Navy swim dresses (just stretched over the boobs like a taut tent), sports bras, Panache bra-sized 2-piece. That last one was a splurge and crushing, because while it fit, it looked like I was wearing an old lady’s bra covered in crochet, and the bottom just emphasized the c-section shelf. I was pretty sad about it.

I got advertised TA3 pretty heavily, but I didn’t see a lot of pictures of plus-sized women or women with big cup sizes in them. Some TA3 seems to be cup-sized, but I can’t vouch for those. I ended up getting a 2x Pammy (square cut neckline) in extra tall length, hoping that that would mean more torso fabric for my chest.

It actually fit better than any other one-piece I’ve tried. The fabric was thick and made my shelf disappear. I don’t know if the XL actually translated to more boob space, but I’m 5’2” and it fit with the straps fully tightened, so it was worth a try. It does have an under breast seam that’s just too high for my size—I WISH they would add that’s as a custom option—so there’s a slight quadboob, but it’s mild enough that other people wouldn’t notice it. If i had an option without it, I’d jump for it, but it’s not terrible. I don’t think the cinching does that much for the waist (as opposed to the suit material itself) but it DOES lift and support the breasts like I was hoping.
