Should I pay off my mortgage…

First off, I know most will say no, but I am curious is our thoughts make any difference. My wife and I are currently 26 and own a home that we bought in 2021 for 190k (ran down house that we did a year out and remodeled) Due to appreciation it is now worth 430k. Our rate is 2.99% and we owe 161k on it remaining. I currently have around 228k in assets (Roth, Roth 401k, brokerage, and cash). Would it be stupid to sell these and liquidate some and pay off this mortgage. My escrow is $300 per month.

I know from an analytical stance this could be costing hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years, but I believe having no mortgage payment will allow us to take bigger risks such as starting a business or buying another home to flip.

What are your thoughts?

Should we liquidate investments and pay off our home?

Wife and I owe $160k on our house and are currently 26 years old. We just had a baby and I may just be wanting to reduce all risk due to the baby, but I tempted to liquidating our investments and paying off our mortgage. We currently have $215k invested and another $13k cash. We bought this house when we were 21 for $190k and gutted it and renovated the home. The home is now worth $430k due to the housing market in my area being one of the largest growing markets since 2020.

Our mortgage is at 2.99 percent on a 30 year term and the payment is $760 for p&i. My thoughts are with us not having any form of mortgage it would make life easier and we can just survive and work whenever we want and not being forced to work.

The other goal we have is for my wife to stay home and I believe it would be easier with doing this as I only make $70k annually. I am looking for jobs that part around $90k but they are slim since I am in a low to medium cost of living area.

Just looking for suggestions.
