Need help deciding on a new running watch
I have a Garmin 645M in (honestly beautiful) rose-gold that broke after 5 years (the plastic part which allows the band to attach broke). I was very happy with that watch otherwise but I need a replacement now.
I'm a more advanced regular runner. I do both road and trail running. I don't care much for too much data - I was happy with my 645. I just want: solid battery life, solid GPS tracking (got worse on the 645), solid pace tracking, decent HR monitoring (mostly for resting HR, knowing that running HR isn't so accurate). I cycle sometimes and swim sometimes, and can do long day hikes. I like to design my own workout with specified paces and upload it to my watch.
I have a tiny wrist so the 42mm size of 645 fit perfectly - worried about 47mm size that I see a lot now. I love the gold rim aesthetic but it seems only available on the new 970 and fenix 8 (fenix is too expensive for me!!!). I actually prefer MIP - really don't like bright screens but given the trend I think I have to compromise.
Please give me recommendations, the research is driving me crazy!
