19 weeks and already feeling like a studio apartment with legs
I know this is going to sound dramatic because yes, I’m literally pregnant, but at 19 weeks I already feel gigantic. I’m 5’3” and only up like 5 lbs from pre pregnancy (135lbs to 140lbs), but somehow from the side I look like I swallowed a bean bag chair.
From the back? Mostly normal. Front? Kinda pregnant depending on the outfit. Side profile? Victorian-era woman carrying the family heir.
My husband keeps saying I’m “small” which feels legally required of him, and my 14-year-old sister says my bump is a “cute” accessory and that I don’t look huge. Meanwhile I’m over here staring at myself in every reflective surface like WHO is that.
I think I’m struggling mentally more than physically with how fast my body is changing. I’m so not used to having a belly and clothes just make me feel… large. Anyone else feel like pregnancy unlocked a weird body dysmorphia phase?
