Comparison SW999(4) 3* and SW999(5) 2*
I had a little discussion with u/Alone-Profit4826 about whether its worth to go for SW999(4) 3* or SW999(5) 2*
I did some math that got too long for a comment, and also might interest others so here is an attempt at comparing the damage output of both.

Here are SW999s base stats:
3-cost
| Category | 1* | 2* | 3* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base on-field strength | 150 | 240 | 330 |
| HP amplification | 30% | 69% | 108% |
| Speed amplification | 20% | 32% | 44% |
4-cost
| Category | 1* | 2* | 3* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base on-field strength | 200 | 320 | 600 |
| HP amplification | 45% | 88% | 132% |
| Speed amplification | 30% | 43% | 56% |
5-cost
| Category | 1* | 2* | 3* |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base on-field strength | 240 | 400 | 2500 |
| HP amplification | 60% | 108% | 500% |
| Speed amplification | 45% | 60% | 300% |

In the following we compare 3* 4-cost SW999 and 2* 5-cost SW999.
Base Stats:
- On-field strength
* 3* SW999(4): 600
* 2* SW999(5): 400
SW999(5) is worse by a factor of 2/3
- Speed amplification
* 3* SW999(4): 56%
* 2* SW999(5): 60%
SW999(5) is better by a factor of 1,071
Talents:
- aha on-field strength bonus.
* 3* SW999(4): 80%
* 2* SW999(5): 70%
SW999(5) is worse by a factor of 0,875
- maximum damage amplification bonus:
* 3* SW999(4): 80%
* 2* SW999(5): 120%
A difference of a factor of 1,5 in SW999(5)'s favour
- hacker components
On-field strength bonus:
* SW999(4): 40%
* SW999(5): 50%
Factor of 1,25 for SW999(5)
Effect of component:
This is an arbitrary number, since not all bonus effects are raw numbers, but I concluded that the effects of SW999(5) components are better by a factor of ~1,5
Thus we can now multiply:
2/3 * 1,071 * 0,875 * 1,5 * 1,25 * 1,5 = 1,757
Without the arbitrary component-effect number: 1,171
Therefore I can conclude that SW999(5) 2* is 1,757 times, but at the very least 1,171 times as strong as SW999(4) 3* at her strongest.
---
However, due to mmr not necessarily always being at maximum capacity, if we remove the corresponding factors, we get:
2/3 * 1,071 * 0,875 * 1,25 * 1,5 = 1,171
And again without the component-effect number:
2/3 * 1,071 * 0,875 * 1,25 = 0,780
Thus, in the worst case, SW999(5) 2* is 0,780 times or at most 1,171 times as strong as SW999(4) 3*
---
None of this accounts for difference in difficulty of obtaining SW999(4) 3* compared to SW999(5) 2*
This is purely a comparison of strength. This also doesn't account for the fact that a lot of, if not most, damage will result out of yao guangs aha instants, which do not rely on SW999 speed. However, since speed was only a factor of 1,071, its negligible.

tldr:
Worst case:
SW999(5) 2* is 0,780-1,171 times as strong as SW999(4) 3*
Best case:
SW999(5) 2* is 1,171-1,757 times as strong as SW999(4) 3*
