Metastatic poorly indifferential adenocarcinoma IV
No buildup to this diagnosis- no pneumonia no emphysema no COPD, not even bronchitis or cough!
Lymph node positive
Pleural fluid positive
Mass in lung
But still no origin identified despite all of the tests that have come back
Waiting on PET scan and the NGS they should come within a few days
The doctor said he’s being proactive and went ahead and ordered chemo and immunotherapy to start October 13. Which to be honest this process has been incredibly slow and frustrating, and I find that because we have the manpower we have been able to provide advocacy.
Without proof, they are treating it as if it started in the lung. There is a drain to help with the pleural fluid however, the last three times the nurse has been unable to drain fluid as there is none. 🤷🏻♀️ prior to the drain and it’s first use I believe there has been roughly 9 L give or take drained in the last four weeks.
Anyone on here with a similar experience?
