This post is not mean to incite any rage or throw any shade, I think both games have their redeeming qualities in their respective regard. What truly qualifies a game for game of the year? Is it objective or subjective? what do you think?

As the title suggests, I think borderlands peaked at borderlands 2 and the sequels after it just don't match up. I think this is due in part to Handsome Jack who is one of the best antagonists in any gaming narrative of all time. Borderlands 2 also had very likable vault haunters and great DLC, so great a spin-off game was made out of one of the DLC's. Do you think it deserves a remake with updated graphics and mechanics?

I have spent the last year working on a passion project and I would like to start something out of it. It is a gamer-focused app built to expand on the core idea of PlayStation Communities, designed to enhance the gaming experience beyond the console.

Core Features

  • COMMUNE Create game-specific communities (like Discord, but tailored for gamers) with forums, voice chat, and upcoming text chat.
  • CREATE Share and showcase in-game photo mode content, essentially turning gaming moments into creative expression and a personal gallery.
  • COMPETE Built-in tournament system for communities to organize competitions and build player reputation.
  • PLAYER VOICE Community-driven voting system to reflect how players feel about games across platforms (early-stage sentiment tracking).

Additional Tools

  • Tier list creator (TierMaker-style)
  • Game playlist/backlog tracker

Goal
Turn gaming into a more social, creative, and competitive ecosystem beyond consoles.

Is this something you would use?
