I live in the Midwest with a lot of woodland and forest area, close to a big city and its nearly summer which means a lot of rain and rough terrain. In my looking around for black color boots, I noticed there are a good deal of jungle boots and hear how they are durable, but I have some concern about their use in an environment that isn't strictly a jungle. Should I try out a pair or should I look for other black color combat boots?
Been doing a lot of looking into a soft armor body armor carrier rather than a traditional PC that I also plan on running with a soft armor belt and my main concern was that the IOTV/MTV vests seem run pretty low on the body compared to some BALCS style carriers which could cause some issue when running a traditional two piece gun belt or more padded molle belt like Ensis's lima belt. Are there any significant coverage differences between the two styles of carrier?
