Evening Reddit, I’ve been torn on what best would suit me for a vest. I’m going to Ukraine in a few months and want to make sure I have protection from shrapnel if I can manage it. I’ve been wanting to jump on the Premier T-shirt that provides a decent coverage of the front, back, and sides with IIIA. However I’m a bit hesitant because a full vest would be more suitable. Heat wise I have no concerns because I’ll be going and leaving while it’s gonna be cold as can be. The main thing preventing me from getting their executive vest which would provide much better coverage, is the price. I’m trying to stay around 400 USD because I’m not exactly expecting to get shot at where I’ll be visiting, but drones and shrapnel are the big concerns I have.

If you have any suggestions or even some experience with shopping for stuff to protect from shrapnel I’d appreciate it. I’ll say I haven’t been able to find many ‘affordable’ options outside of that T-shirt, and I’d like to keep it somewhat low profile albeit I won’t look like a fool wearing a full vest in public there regardless so profile is not a huge concern. Thanks!

In the Marines and I’m not a fan of the issues ifak. Zippers work half the time, material is ripping apart. Just wanted to see what all the dudes are rocking. I got a blowout ifak but I wanna see what other ones are out there. Thinking of getting the roll 1 by Ferro. 0311 btw
