Today’s range day trip. How do yall carry yalls range ammo?
Where to find the LV-119
So I was looking to get a Spiritus Systems Overt LV-119 plate carrier, but they don't make them anymore and I can't seem to find any in multicam (I'm active duty army and my unit allows us to wear non-issued gear as long as it is multicam). Does anyone know where I can find one? Preferably size medium.
Shaw Arc V4 to Spc
Haven't found any videos showing mounting options
Would it be better to attach tubes to the placard itself vs the PC and if so why
Also not liking this space behind the placard as it seems it can move or come off if snagged. Even with adding clips to the upper attachment I don't see it fixing that issue.
It doesn't leave much room to access my tubes in its current setup, I'm sure I just don't have this oriented properly. Any help is appreciated
New Personal Carrier Build
Agilite K-Zero carrier and pincer placard with front pouch, everything else is 5.11
New personal kit set up due to my others being used for work, just wanted one to leave at the house.
Painting Nylon
What’s the general consensus on rattle canning some kit? Haven’t heard much about it. Does it fuck with ir or anything? Thanks.
Assault Pack
Anyone use the Eberlestock Jackknife as a 48hr assault pack? Looking to get my first pack and it’s on a great sale.
AXL Universal Micro Harness Kit question
Really just wondering if this is worth getting, just got done with a FEX that had hella movements and I had to carryyy a lot of stuff on the PC (USMC gen 3)
I don't really know the advantages of harnesses besides the Crye AVS making load bearing more better but can someone explain to me how it actually works, and if this is also worth getting?
I use agilite warfighter cummerbunds
Blade Tech Velocity Speed Competition Belt
Has anyone owned this particular belt? I’m looking for a budget range belt. I plan to use it with pistol with a weapon light, mid ride holster, and 2-3 extra mags. Will this be too much and make the belt flex because of the weight? How does it hold up to long term use? Thank you for those who would answer.
What are yall running for radios?
Im personally using 2 DM-32UV's.
But I wanna know what radios yall are using and why. Not "TCA PRC-152 for airsoft". Like real training or work.
Hate it or love it??
Considering a new PC setup, also general theory questions (Ukraine)
About a year ago someone posted about the M-TAC Corset Elite and as a wearer of that PC I commented (since deleted) and basically said it worked for me and I was cool with it. It offers a lot of protection, but as some commenters pointed out, it looks hot as fuck. Well, it is hot as fuck.
I'm a drone operator and despite some close calls, fortunately haven't actually had an opportunity to test the protection of my kit in the year I have been wearing it. I don't like the restrictions the wide straps and neck armor impose on shouldering a rifle. I don't like being unable to squeeze through little tunnels into a blindage in a hurry. I really don't like the heat and I also don't like the weight (3.9kg without plates). Also with a backpack my hands lose circulation.
I'm considering a new plate carrier. I will have a pretty basic bitch loadout on it; 3 .556 mags, an admin pouch, a motorola dp4000 sized-radio, PTT, bino nod pouch, 2 TQs and a back panel. I will be sticking with the DSTU 5 plates (SAPI M). We almost never have firefights. The two most likely injury vectors are FPVs hitting near me or mines. Unfortunately because of trees these FPVs can be detonating above or behind me. We also have cases where an FPV with an PG-7 hits the top of a vehicle and causes frag to go through.
My requirements:
-It must accommodate the accessories mentioned above
-It must be compatible with or, even better, already have Ukrainian level 2 or equivalent side soft armor. If the side armor is an add-on, obviously the less bulk the better.
-The two TQs must be reachable with at least one hand with ease, preferably either TQ with either hand, on either side of the 3 mags. This is actually kind of awkward with my current PC.
-It must accommodate a belly flap/groin protector
-It must be multicam, legit multicam.
-It must be easily removable in confined, filthy spaces, in the dark.
-I really would like it to allow for normal stock placement.
I can import it myself from America but I would rather avoid it if possible.
I've heard about the LV120 but it doesn't look like it takes side armor.
I'm also considering the M-TAC cuirass tiger elite fast gen II with level 2 soft armor, it would be much easier to get my hands on and cheaper too. No reviews though and it doesn't have weight information. I haven't had issues with any of my M-TAC stuff (at least the stuff they make; their white-label type stuff seems to suck) https://militarist.ua/ua/catalog/tacticalgear/plitonoski/m-tac-plitonoska-cuirass-tiger-fast-elite-2-klas-zakhistu-rozmir-pliti-m-multicam/
The WAS DCS is recommended a lot but it seems to have fallen out of favor on this subreddit.
I'm 5'11 and wear M sized plates. I'm willing to pay for quality where necessary.
Thanks for reading!
Recommendations? Unit won’t let me use my old PC so I have this now.
Work vest
We recently started issuing out the Point Blank FAS G4 carrier agency wide. Patrol gets it issued in dark navy. Specialties can elect to have a second carrier in either black, ranger green, or grey, depending on what you’re doing.
I had been wearing a Crye LVS and tac carrier for a minute, but unfortunately finally got told to start wearing the issued armor (city insurance something something….)
Anyway, the FAS tries to be a lot of things, but doesn’t seem to do anything particularly well. Hard armor plates basically get put into what I amount to a bag and the inserted into the carrier. There is no internal plate pocket. The cummerbund is absolute dog water. There is no finite adjustment, you basically hook the molle into G hooks. This results in the cummerbund being just a little too tight, or just a bit too loose. Also, Point Blank refuses to get with the times and use tubes. They use their weird AF KWIQ clips, which you can’t buy separately to attach to placards.
Anyway, here are some pictures. I’m not a road dawg anymore, and I really don’t know how the patrol guys are making this work as an outer carrier.
-PB G4 FAS carrier with issued PB soft armor panels
-Angel Armor light weight rifle plates
-AXL shoulder pads
-HSP extended placard with assorted inserts
-Dynamic Principles low-pro admin pouch
-First Spear elastic mag pouches (FS’s version of a 10 Speed)
-First Spear cummerbund from a long out of production carrier
CCW Fanny pack for a full size pistol?
Yall got any recommendations? Velcro inside is needed to mount a holster
6x4 Admin pouch recommendations?
Hello guys, working on my PC setup and recently brought this admin pouch from ODIN tactical - it’s damn near perfect! Only it is 5x5 MOLLE, and my mags, where I intended to mount it, are 6x4 🤦🏼♂️ so I’m looking for recommendations for a preferably European made 6x4 admin or GP pouch (made in a NATO country is acceptable too)
Plate carrier and Belt
New kit I’ve been enjoying, a lot of L4 Performance stuff with some other stuff added in.
The plate carrier uses a harness that is similar to the CRYE AVS harness so it is quite good at distributing weight.
