Need help for my first tactical belt purchase. I’m trying to spend no more then $200 so any advice will be greatly appreciated! I’ve seen these two but have no idea if these are good
I have no idea what brand to go with or really what I should be looking for when it comes to plates. Right now, I’m doing armed security while attending college, and I eventually want to become a police officer, so I’m trying to buy quality gear the first time instead of wasting money upgrading later.
I already have a vest setup, a Shaw Concepts ARC Carrier V2 in a small/medium. I’m not a huge guy, just an average build at 5'8", around 180 lbs, so I’m trying to keep the setup with quality lvl3a plates.
There are so many brands and ratings out there that I honestly don’t know what’s worth buying.
I’d prefer something American made from a reputable company, ideally something that would fit well in my plate carrier without being overly bulky or heavy, and that would last so I can reuse it when I become a police officer
What plates would you guys recommend for my size/setup?
(Should I get small or medium plates)
I need an adult to help a brother out
I have a Glock 17.3. Milled for RMR, have an adapter plate, AP ACRO, and SL TLR1 HL.
Previously had a Holosun 507c on the 17 and it fit fine in the 6354 RDSO.
Had a sneaking suspicion optic clearance was going to be an issue, and it turned out I was correct.
With ACRO mounted, I need just another 1/16-1/8 of clearance for it work.
Debating of trying a different holster or using a dremel and clearing up a little space inside the holster?
Any advice?
Sooooo, it looks pretty good. I've been using the FСPС for two years now, recently started running with side soft armor, and for me, it's been the most comfortable pc.
The 120 has really cool cummerbunds, which are not only more structured than the Ferro's, but also much easier to unfasten. Seriously, I haven't encountered a better elastic system yet. The shoulder articulation is also noteworthy, it's decent.
We'll see what happens, but for now I can say that the 120 is a more well-thought-out platform with more features and potential for future modules. Will it be more comfortable than the FCPC with SoftArmor? We'll see.
Hey all, quick question about Armored Republic/AR500’s soft goods. I know the deal with steel armor, I’ve since gone to ceramic, but does anyone have experience with the company’s soft goods?
I’m specifically looking at a hydration carrier and a concealable plate carrier. I’m guessing those aren’t made in the US? Any idea how the quality compares to brands with more solid reputations?
Happy to leave em be but if people like them, I might snag that stuff.
Thanks in advance
Hi guys
Need some help. Found these pictures on a other old post, and loved the setup. I’m looking for something very similar and need your help because I can figure it out hahah.
First 3 pics is the inspiration, 3rd and 4th is what could be an solution maybe? And last is mine now (Esstac double mag pouches with kydex)
Thanks in advance
Pics for reference. Gents, our policy updates for patrol rifle optics is happening now. We work in mostly rural environments, think desert vs jungle, but I have agreements with three medium sized city agencies and assist them regularly. So distances realistically go from entry (5yds) to big perimeters (2-300yds). Weight is a thing as I was on a 6 mile track a couple weeks ago. We are issued dual tube nvgs and train and work in the dark. Current setup is an aimpoint M5 at 1.93 with an old AP magnifier in a larue flip mount and a DBAL. No Chinese optics are authorized but almost everything else is in the table. Thx
I've been looking to upgrade from the standard issued pack to a better field pack and came across these two that meet my criteria. I can't really decide which would be the better choice the CF3 or the Kantamus 40L.
Putting brand affiliation and flashy photo shoots aside, which pack would generally be more useful for actual deployment in the event of a mobilization notice. I assume that, aside from volume, quality, weight, etc., both packs are roughly on par. So I'd like to hear if anyone has firsthand experience, positives, negatives, or nitpicks about either pack, or what you would generally recommend based on your experience.
The only notable difference for me is that the Kantamus is much easier to access on the EU market, while the CF3 would likely cost a bit more bucks due to import fees. Thanks in advance!
Has anyone had any experience with this rmr clone? I am wanting this or something like it to put on my mantis titanx.
Hello all, I am making this post so that you can help me choose my next boot. I love Lowa and been wanting to get into the Z8 series just not sure which to pick. These would be primarily daily wear boots with some hiking and classes sprinkled in. If the price is worth it I have no issues spending it. Its very hard to tell the diffrence through the pictures I am aware that the leather on the outside is diffrent. What are the pros and cons? Thank you.
For real though, as an avid believer in belt kit, I’m excited to test out something new and dial it in. No it’s not dirty yet; there’s such a thing as new gear. Yes, I’m aware that MC tropic and coyote are drippier than your dick after a weekend of libbo in Thailand. Yes I have water. Feel free to share your thoughts.
Just watched a guy try to sell a gimmick and it makes me so mad.
I’ve developed a hatred for these dudes.
Cool you make a plate shaped hydration carrier like damn near a decade ago. Cute just cute dudes. No one thought of that. That’s novel right. Good job guys…
But later okay these guys come out with pads for PCs. I’ll hear you out buddy… MF they cost $80! WHAT! What are they made out of? Oh you want some for your belt? F-you $125! What are these dudes actually smoking.
Okay cool so you have a dumb ass water bottle thing shaped like a 152. Alright neat I guess… $17 WHAT! Canteens are basically free if you *acquire* them from supply. The government has had actual generations of blind convicts at skillcraft crank them out for decades. GUESS WHAT they were designed to perfectly fit in your OCP pockets and fit contoured against your ass. You know what else also works? FREEZING DISPOSABLE WATER BOTTLES THAT COST LITERALLY CENTS! Dudes have be slaying people in flip flops for DECADES with this strat that YOU STOLE.
On top of that the notion that kids are going to run out and buy HUNDREDS of dollars work of add ons to a legacy carrier… BRO like why plz don’t do this. I can’t say anymore.
Hello friends!
This is my patrol setup I’m kinda lookin for things I could change or mess around with. I’m thinking about getting two canted mags and setting them up on the belt, then placing a 3rd mag and a multitool on my vest. We gotta be tricky with our shit because the only allow mags cuffs and radio on the vest. I also really wanna get a magnet so I gotta place to put guns while I’m doin a search.
Also, the biggest pain in my ass, those 1155s. I have been working the beat with them bitch ass plates in the burning southern sun. The problem I first ran into, the plates obviously didn’t fit. Solution? Take the covert cover for the Kevlar, and then put the plates in it. Works great for the front, but the rear plate sits really fuckin low. Solution? Roll up the second covert cover and roll it really tight, then place in the bottom of the carrier to “force” the plate to sit higher. Would be a smart idea if the fucking thing wasn’t 8 lbs. any suggestions friends?
Also, we can’t carry medical on our kit so I carry medical on me. Inside that little pocket ifak is the following:
Celox hemostatic gauze
Chest seals
NPA
Battle wrap
Gloves
Literally all you need. As for unlock tools I am not keeping that on me. That is a fucking curse IYKYK. For breaking into places most of the time I can get away with a credit card or a good mule kick.
With so many of these clones of the Ferro Mini Dangler. And seeing as a lot of Ferro goods are popular and often recreated in Ukraine with various alterations. I figured I would share one I have. This one is a Ukrainian clone made by Protec U.A. I received as part of a bonus item to combine two existing orders I had at the time. I mistakenly had picked this instead of another one of the SPUD pouch clones. Regardless I am grateful. Protec has a pretty interesting history; they've been around since 2015 and during the 2022 invasion a lot of their product stock and equipment were stolen by the occupying Russians at the time. The company ended up restarting production from scratch. Compared to an original mini dangler, the quality and build is pretty solid. No complaints there, should be interesting to give it a try at some point whenever I have time.
Anything incompatible? Also going with a safariland holster I carry a pdp pro x anything I should use instead of the molle flap?
Hello everyone, I work in law enforcement and I typically spend 10 to 12 hours in my kit. The belts that we are issued (blue force gear CHLK3 belt) are very stiff, rigid and limit my mobility which leads to lower back pain after 8 hours of use. I noticed wilder tactical is more flexible and low profile in their belt designs, I have narrowed it down to these two belts here, the Bravo belt and the minimalist belt. On my belt I carry my duty pistol, 2 extra mags and handcuffs. I know very little about the ergonomics of belts and all advice is greatly appreciated thank you! Also note that I will be getting a cobra buckle for whichever belt I end up going with.
