Paint stripping 1976 T140

Hello,

I am looking for options to restore my 1976 T140 Bonneville. It is an oil in frame. I am experiencing a dilemma where I would like to have the frame stripped and re-powder coated. The issue is if I media blast the frame, there are concerns of having material getting into the frame and possibly destroying the engine. I know some folks use a Charlie's filter after rinsing the frame, but then I feel I’m obligated to do that for the lifetime of the bike and have some worry for the lifetime of my ownership.

I reached out to a company for chemical stripping and they stated that if the chemical gets in a pinhole, they can’t insure that it will all come out. If they can’t get out all the chemical, it will continue to work on the metal.

So, would my best bet to be sanding it and maybe applying a stripper myself and bringing it into a powder coater?
