New Triumph Street Twin 900 Gold Line - mod ideas?

Hi guys, just grabbed a Street Twin 900 Gold Line and it’s completely stock with low miles (~600).

What mods should I do first? Thinking exhaust for better sound, better mirrors or bar end setup, maybe some crash protection. Any favorites or must-haves?

Also, best way to clean and maintain it? Good products for the paint and gold lines without screwing anything up?

Scrambler 900 crash bars in EU?

Hello there!

I'm looking to protect my Scrambler 900 (2023) from possible parking lot drops. (Beginner rider here. You never know...)

What are the best crash bar options available in the EU?

Looks like Triumph itself only offers lower engine bars. Do those suffice?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Post-crash-repair issues, need reality check on dealer's explanations. Bonneville T120

Long story short: crashed in March, bike was at a Triumph dealer for repairs for ~4 months, got it back with a few issues. I want a sanity check on from people who know these bikes better than I do right now:

1. Continuous whining/buzzing sound at ignition ON, engine OFF
With the ignition on but engine not started, after the ~3-second fuel pump prime stops, there's a continuous high-pitched electrical whine that doesn't go away as long as ignition stays on. Louder near the engine area. Dealer says this is the electronic throttle valve motor's operating sound and claims it's normal. But I didnt have that noise before and after the crash they didnot touch anything throttle related. They asked me to fix oil/water pump because it was leaking(unrelated to crash) and they had to change the gearbox selector as it was broken but there was nothing else related to engine. Buzzing sound video for refence. If anybody can tell me what is it I really appreciate it. The dealer seems like trying to say this is normal and dont deal with it.

2. Right side rear silencer contacts rear axle bolt
After getting the bike back, I noticed the right silencer touches the rear axle bolt. The bike fell to the right side so its normal for it to bend. When I asked about it the dealer said the right mount only has 2 support points vs 3 on the left, so the right side is inherently less rigid by design. They said if I want I can bend it outward and test ride it and if it still touches, the next step would be slightly bending the mounting stay. The thing I dont get is they never said anything about it when I asked about it on first quote. They didnt fix it or they didnt explained about it on the delivery.

For context: bike also came back with turn-signal/hazard issues from aftermarket Motone indicators which causes the hazard to not work, apperantly I bought halogen ones instead of LED ones that have been installed before and they said they couldnt fix it(they didnt even explain it on delivery i noticed it when going back home). Would it be possible to fix the indicators via replacing the bulbs with LED ones? Also they did a really sloppy work on wiring of the aftermarket headlight. In the picture you can see the cables are hanging on the right side of the bike. They said that there is no space inside the headlight casing to put in the wiring. The headlight is Highsider Reno. Im concidering buying a LED headlight and remove the halogen one to save space and put the cables inside. As it runs cooler it should in theory work without problems.

I wanna ask if this kind of issues after crash are acceptable? Im no mechanic but I can search and try finding solutions online. Im really surprised after 4 months of time I got a result like this. I tried doing the minimal repairs to cut costs and to not pay premium I bringed in my aftermarket parts like mirrors, indicators and headlight. To be real Im quite dissappointed.

2025 Speed 400

First bike, first time on the highway, second ride. Having a blast after 40+ years on 4 wheels. It’s hard to find something that’s a real bang for the buck these days, but this squarely falls in that category.
My buddy’s Breakout in the background for scale and fun.

Good deal for Scrambler 900?

2012 scrambler standard
8k miles selling for $6k

Considering this for my first bike. Is this a good deal? I’ll be using it mostly for highway commuting and maybe some light road trips.
Also, can anyone speak on the disadvantage of having the air cooled model?

My speedo is 5 mph optimistic at 60 mph

My 2023 Tiger 850 Sport reads 65 mph vs GPS 60 mph. I compared with two different Garmin GPS units. My other bikes going back many years have been within 1 mph. Back in the 60's - 70's some brands would be intentionally optimistic.

Have any others experienced this?

Am I being overly cautious by towing my bike to the dealership???

2025 Tiger Sport 800. Bought new, first service done. 2200 miles. Out for a ride this afternoon and I notice a couple hard shifts and something doesn't seem right. It seems like it's losing power, in limp mode, or something. Either the tachometer is off or it is really hard to get it over 4-5k rpms. Before this I was in that range all the time in the lower gears. The only change I made was installing an OEM center stand and cleaning the chain. My worry is I get the bike there and they tell me everything is fine?

Weight distribution for touring

Maybe wrong group for this but mod can delete if its not relevant here. I have a triumph tiger 800 xrx 2016. Im going to norway soon and this is my weight distribution. Would you be comfortable riding with it like this? Should I rearrange some of the weight? I have food in the bags in front so that will get progressively lighter. My pannier are the aluminum boxes and the bag on the passenger is a 50L waterproof bag and the crashbar bags are the same but 10 L

Edit: gonna camp with tent and stay at hotels, depends on weather and how much we love the rain. Did a test drive and was a little light in the front but I think its okay, but im gonna get rid of a few things and see if I can put more stuff in the crashbar bags instead.

Blackwidow Exhaust on ST 765

Hi. I’m planning to buy Black Widow Round 230mm exhaust can for my Triple 765 R , does anyone in here have it ? I’m trying to find any videos showing how does it sound like but can’t. I like the look of it but don’t want anything ridiculously loud. Thx

Daytona 675 won’t go past 9k RPM

Hi all, I recently purchased a 2013 Daytona 675 with about 20,000km. I’ve really enjoyed the bike so far. Definitely one of the favourites of all time.

I took it to the mountains today and tried opening her up a little bit. It doesn’t misfire or anything like that at all. It just won’t rev past 9k rpm. Not the rev limiter kinda sound either. It just hits a wall. It basically holds the speed until I change gears. It’s the same in all gears. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

New Zard exhaust came in!

My new Zard slip-on just came in and boy I have to tell you... not even on the same league of the previous TT Slash Cut; both in terms of finishes and fitting.

I ordered the one already equipped with the "quieter" db killers (aka baffles) and it's just a bit rumblier/louder than the stock one; not comparable with the baffled TTSC.

Installing A DNA Air Filter

Decided it was time to install a DNA Air Filter on the 24 Street Scrambler. Simple enough job and hoist not needed but I've been a technician for 20 years now and my back appreciates not having to work on the ground anymore haha!
