Admitted to MSc at University of Jena - worried final GPA may drop below stated requirement after admission

Hi everyone,

I was admitted to the M.Sc. Quantum Science and Technology program at Friedrich Schiller University Jena (Abbe School of Photonics) for Winter 2026.

My admission letter says the admission is conditional upon successfully completing my bachelor’s degree and submitting the final documents before enrollment.

I recently received my final GPA and I’m worried because it converts to around 2.2 on the German scale, while the program website mentions a 2.0 requirement.

However, the admission itself was already manually reviewed and granted.

Has anyone here experienced a similar situation with German MSc admissions (especially Jena/ASP or Uni-Assist)?
Do universities usually re-evaluate the exact GPA strictly after admission, or is successful completion of the degree the more important factor once admitted?

Would really appreciate hearing from anyone with experience in this process. Thanks!
