Hey friends,

Thought this would make for a fun community discussion…. I am currently completing a literature review assignment on the therapeutic benefits of ayahuasca. The primary focuses of the review will be about:

1. neural mechanism leading to altered consciousness
2. introspection and altered self/perception
3. set and setting
4. integration process
5. current limitations of contemporary research on the topic

(It is worth noting, I am completing this assignment with a partner who will be discussing other elements of the topic. Hence the reason why the list above is not as comprehensive as you would expect for a literature review)

If anyone has some good research articles that may be worth considering, or just some overall insight/input, feel free to send them my way. Thanks!
