I am discouraged and new to the game (kind of)
Hey all. I am starting to get extremely discouraged with online play. This is my first time playing the show in 7 years. I’ve normally stuck to madden and CFB.
But I’m horrible simply put. I usually range between 400-600 in rating. And I either get mercy ruled or scratch to a 3-2 finish style game. I find just about everything about online play to be horrible. I can’t seem to ever get pin point perfect. Then when I actually do nail it the ball goes straight down the middle. I also feel like everything I throw gets smoked. Even if it’s far outside the zone. As for hitting I really have struggled with strike zone update (sinkers coming back to clip the zone kill me). I can’t square things up perfectly and only run into 1-3 perfects a game.
But I want to grind this out and my goal is to become a WS player before the end of year. However I am starting to feel that is not realistic at all. I spend 1-3 hours a day playing and have owned the game since about 2 weeks after the release date I usually spend 15 minutes on practice mode on hall of fame, then a ranked game or mini seasons. And I usually end the night hating myself cause I just can’t compete online.
Is there hope for me? Or is the skill set to become good way above what I am capable of with my lack of experience/ lack of extreme time.
Btw I want to enjoy ranked. I want to play competitive games, but having someone put up 8 runs on me in the first and hitting home runs on pitches outside the zone just isn’t enjoyable.
