Customer pricing awareness

I’m not big on using delivery apps after a series of major errors in orders and other bad experiences. I was looking up the menu for a local restaurant and used doordssh to look at the menu to decide what to buy. Each meal was $23.50 not including any delivery fees.
I walked around the restaurant and orders in person. Each meal was $18.00. The price difference is around 30% just on food alone!
Couple of questions. Is this the norm and are people generally aware of just how much more they are paying?
