Dasher intentionally leaves ice cream outside when I’m disabled then mocks me
Like the title says, I ordered some ice cream to help beat the heat in my area and the dasher couldn’t figure out how to use a call box. Didn’t call me to ask how it worked, just left it outside. I cannot walk outside of my very small apartment so obviously the food is lost. They then proceeded to mock me for being physically unable to get my food. I reported them so hopefully I never see them again. Yes, before you ask, I did leave a tip. $10 for a 2 mile trip.
Edit: the messages are cropped because I sent the dasher a photo of my apartment door to make it easier for them and I didn’t want to doxx myself on here
Edit 2: I am not asking anyone to enter my home at all. Just to leave it on a chair right outside my apartment door so I don’t have to bend down.
Genuine question, why do some of you refuse to bring food to the customers door?
If there is zero parking, no elevator, or a confusing building layout, I can completely understand why you would rather the customer meet you in the lobby or at the gate (it would be rude of the customer not to, imo)... but in any other regular circumstance, why only do half the job and expect the customer to meet you?
Hope this doesn't come off as rude, it's not my intention, I'm just genuinely curious... Perhaps I'm missing something x
it’s too easy to get a refund.
gonna let the screenshot speak for itself
edit: just to add some context, i canceled the order because it was taking too long.
why message me if you’re not gonna reply
tried to get cornbread for my dinner tonight, stores only a couple minute drive from my house and i didn’t feel like going myself so i thought, hey ill just use doordash and leave a good tip so someone has a good day atleast.
ordered 3 items total and they run out of the cornbread a lot at the sprouts near me so that’s fine. no big deal its really good.
they have the baking mixes one isle over and they always have lots of brands of cornbread mix. so how come he sent the pictures of no cornbread and then didn’t even reply or look at my message just refunded it then immediately went to checkout so i couldn’t add the cornbread mix as a replacement. yet i marked that item as find replacement and even added a note that any cornbread mix is okay. :( i took my $5 tip i left at the door back inside before he got here so he only got the $ i tipped through the app. because in my opinion that tip is for someone who’s gonna atleast check my message or acknowledge that i asked for a replacement
I accidentally over tipped someone today lol
I’m not mad at it at all though, she was so happy and showed so much gratitude. she also made sure my food made it to me fast and was still burning hot. Gave her a 5 star rating too lol😂🥰🤭
It finally happened to me
I had a feeling that something was up when the dasher was overly chatty. I use DoorDash a lot and I’ve never had someone contact me at all. The dasher then proceeded to beg for an extra tip. I didn’t oblige, so they stole the order. The picture of that bag is literally inside someone’s house. I always read these horror stories in this subreddit, but I never thought it would happen to me. At least DoorDash refunded the entire order within seconds.
Door Dash Heists
I noticed door dash has made it a lot easier to steal food.
I did a double dash at one restaurant but only one of the orders was ready.
I was waiting for 10 min for 2 chicken Alfredo orders.
During that I get an option to unassign the order with no consequence.
Meanwhile the employee is giving me the food.
I could have pressed unassigned and just taken the food.
Door dash needs a better conformation system.
Pretty sure that’s how people food get stolen all the time.
I did complete the order my moral too high but damn Alfredo for 2 would have been a great night lol
Smoked Sausage??
The smoked sausage aisle looks different than I remember 😂
context: I was in the shower and didn’t see their message until they’d already checked out. I did have substitutions set (other brands of smoked sausage), and I’m not sure how they got to the toy cars. They did refund the item 👍
Good dashers do exist
Never thought I would post here but today I’ve been in a mood straight bed rotting. down in the dumps. I wanted a little sweet treat to make me feel better and the first dasher stole my order. The last time that happened it took me two hours to get my order. Grateful for this nice lady who made them remake my order today!!
Dasher refused to come to door, but then expected more tip
It's evening here and we ordered dessert. The driver calls from the driveway and says they are not walking in the dark (outside lights are on). I send my teen to get the food, they didnt even pull up the driveway. Had him walk down our driveway to the car and then asked "you got more tip for me?"
Seriously? So do I negative review them or what?
Restaurant Refunded Me and DD Refuses It
So basically I ordered from Starbucks, they sent one of those cards in my bags that said “the xyz you ordered has been discontinued please reach out to your service provider for a refund”. Submitted it, it got denied? Submitted an appeal with further pictures of the card and food contents of the bag, got denied. So um… guess I’m going back to UberEats. 🤣🤷🏽♀️
For clarification: I DIDN’T ORDER/WANT A UNICORN, I ORDERED A FROG. If they did not have it, !!!!they should have REFUNDED it as my settings say to when things are out of stock.!!!!!! I check that option for a reason because I AM very picky about that. Once they substituted a $100 controller for a $65 out of stock one, and I have not allowed substitutions since. !!!!!I don’t care that it was replaced, I want the money back according to the option I selected.!!!!!
*!!! Have been added for those who struggle with reading and can’t find the problem. I’m sure the billion $ corps thank y’all for your service.
My First Dasher like this…
He badly accepted the order when he sent this.
Ah yes I’m just gonna give it to you regardless if you do bad a job or not. And the “increase your wealth” is wild. All of us are struggling dude. I already gave you $6 tip with a maybe three mile trip.
This Multiple Orders, Additional Wait Time Stuff Killed it for Us
Listen, I get it. Things have slowed down since the whole multiple orders on every order thing, but this is getting ridiculous.
My dasher sat with my food in-hand for over 45 minutes at the restaurant. That’s after driving there and waiting for it. I know this because he sent me a message with a photo of it. After an hour, I just drove down to the restaurant. The dasher was sitting with my bag on a table while he waited, and was kind enough not to give me a hard time when I picked it up from him.
I know it’s not his fault, but this is just stupid. We cancelled DashPass and will just be going back to the old fashioned way.
Apparently this was the “Dinner Rush”…
I tried delivering for the first time in a few years. I have the platinum rating level I guess (90/100) even though it’s been a while. I can’t tell if this is a recession indicator, or from DoorDash being so greedy that they drove every customer away with their price gouging.
Regardless this is a ridiculous waste of time. I’m not even joking when I say I probably could’ve made more money searching parking lots for loose change in that time.
My first bad dasher
Ordered some breakfast from McDonald's for me and my bf. Things were going well until it said they were waiting on the order for about 15 minutes but had already left the store. I reached out about the order and this was what they said. I've lurked in this sub for a few months seeing other posts about bad dashers and was glad I never had to deal with that before. Guess it was my turn. Luckily DD support said they would issue a full refund.
Is this normal weekly pay?
First full time week doing DoorDash, is this fairly common pay?
