A 12 year old delivered my order?
I just opened the door for my delivery and the person handing me my food was a little girl who looked maybe 11–12 years old. Whoever was actually driving was sitting in the car at the very end of my driveway. I reported it through the app, but does DoorDash actually care or do anything about reports like this?
I have worked with kids and have mandated reporters in my family, I feel pretty strongly about sending a kid that young up to random strangers’ doors at night while I sit in the car. Forget whether it’s technically against app policies, it just seems like a safety risk for the child.
But now I’m also a little worried because the person I reported obviously knows where I live. Does anyone know how customer support handles reports like this? Is the driver told that a customer reported them, or given enough information that they can figure out which delivery/customer it was? Has anyone else encountered a similar situation?
