For the past year and a half I have been working on a homebrew ttrpg system. The system specialty is that rather than using classes or skills, the player and the GM work together to make the character from scratch. The main thing I’ve been working on is designing guidelines and rules of thumb that a GM can look at to make sure all characters are still balanced as well as example, character sheets for GM’s and players to look at.
I want the first character people see to good example of a character for a beginner (someone who has heard of TTRPG’s and wants to get into them, but has never played one). So I wanted to ask this community what they think makes a good beginner character.
I would as be happy to answer any questions related to the system as it’s a little strange at first glance.
