Should i be concerned?

I've noticed with one of my cats. She normally isn't very cuddly at all. But she's started to be. This is the second day she's curled up with me on the couch while I play on my switch. Now she cuddles with my mom, which I get sometimes sad over. But that's normal I'm not her favorite. (My own cat is an extreme cuddle bug so I still get love).

History:

Not sure how much she weighs, under 10 pounds. Id guess around 5 or 6. Shes a long hair, always been an indoor cat. She tends to get into things, steal dog food and be a menace. Nothing severe. She doesn't have her shots and is not spayed. To put it bluntly, we were just too poor to do it up until recently. We had some really bad luck less than 3 months after we adopted her and went homeless. Animals stayed with my grandmother. Digging our way out of

from then. We didn't have a car that was at all highway safe and we had an emergency vet bill with our seinor dog that we just now paid off. She is 6 years old unfortunately. But now I have money to spay her, get her shots and I feel much less stressed. (I am also now 20 years old and in college. When all this happened I was still a teenager failing high-school from stress lol.)

She's cuddled up with me twice now, on my feet or curled in the crook between my thigh and my shin. Shes even come up with my other cat on me and they both were there. They don't really get along, my cats a senior and not interested in playing. Where as this cats a chaos goblin and loves to play. So she plays with the dog instead.

This cat she's also been more vocal I've noticed lately. She doesn't seem like she's in pain or nothing. She just meows and we have a "conversation". Normally when she sees something or is looking for someone.

She has a vet appointment coming up for her spay, so I'll mention it if need be to them. Finally we've dug ourselves out of poverty far enough to get her spayed. I had to priotize my senior cat though as she was recently diagnosed diabetic. (January). This cat is 6 years old and still acts like a year old kitten.

I can call my vet and ask questions if need be, I'm there all the time now with my diabetic cat and my senior dog lol. I just wanted other opinions is all :)
