A little over one and a half month's work on these bois. For my first ever assembly and painting in wargaming I'd say I did pretty good. <3
Hi! I've started my journey on creating a Lamenters Company, for good or ill. I was mainly wondering if there are any good Resources/pointers for how I could customise my squads a bit more with markings and heraldry, in a way that's at least decently lore appropiate?
Like sometimes the squad number is painted over the symbol on the right shoulder, whereas other times it's placed in the corner. Is that really just up to player preference? Also I notice at least one of the kneecaps are painted in some unique colour - is that something I should incorporate? To differentiate squads further? And I'm guessing I can be more or less openly creative when making each squad's flag? If there's anything else I should consider I'd be happy to be informed!
Also, what number should my Company be to run the least risk of stepping on any toes - in terms of other players and the canon? In my headcanon I imagined my Company to have been considered lost to Hive Fleet Kraken, only to recently show up and having to acclimate to a galaxy cut in half! Would that have any influence on the Company's number?
