2008 Cobalt LT/ Driving on the highway and engine light started flashing, now it won't start.
Hey all, hoping I can get some advice here.
Was driving my 08 LT Cobalt to work last week and I noticed my engine light started flashing and I was losing power/speed. I pulled over and after that it won't start. It cranks and sometimes it seems to start really rough and then immediately dies. I tried pulling codes when it happened and I believe I had a crankshaft code and misfire on 1 but I accidentally cleared them because I'm an idiot and they don't seem to be coming on anymore. I did note that there was some oil under the car when they tow truck put it in the flatbed but I haven't confirmed where that was coming from yet.
It's at around 213,000 miles and I changed the plugs/coils a few months back. Everything comes on electric wise so I don't think it's the battery/alternator but I haven't tested it yet. Fuel gauge goes up to the correct pressure so maybe not the fuel pump?
