My baby is 1.5yr old is 4-5 days in heat (started 6/6 or 6/7). It’s her first heat, so I’m wondering when is the best time to spay. My vet is willing to schedule her right away. I’ve heard during heat for spay it’s easier to loose more blood, hormone level not settling in, blah blah blah.
I am also hesitant to perform such surgery on her because of anesthesia and everything (she is a baby girl, so cutting her stomach open 🥹). So if you guys can share the pro and cons of spaying that would be great! I’m def worried about spay urinary incontinence too. But current leaning towards spay
She had 2 surgeries already due to fracture leg, so spay will be her third. Idk if her little body can handle another going under another time in this short amount of time …. Makes me worried
