Watched Noah Knows Best

Over on YouTube, you can find a plethora of episodes from this short-lived series. And I was thinking, “this is a really good show!” I loved how it was filmed, the comedy is cheesy but wholesome and there was always such a good little positive message to the series.

It’s unfortunate that Nickelodeon had so many short lived programs between 2000-2005 that they never gave longer lives to.

Along with this show, My Brother and Me and Taina, I’m sad that they never gave these shows the runs that they deserved.

I recommend anyone who’s never seen these shows to look them up on YouTube and try to find episodes. They really are hidden gems.

Lost Media: Like Family (2003 TV Series)

Watched a compilation of Disney Channel UK in 2004 and I noticed something interesting. They were airing a program called “Like Family” on the channel as a new series in a back-to-back marathon. It was being played in between the channel’s live talk radio block called Studio Disney.

Here in the United States it was a series that aired on the now-defunct WB Network.

Was wondering if anyone had recordings of this series? Found this commercial to prove its airing on the channel.

New Channel: Disney Throwbacks?

Re: Cancellation of Disney’s classic shows being rebroadcasted on Disney Channel due to low viewership.

Just a thought. Why doesn’t Disney just create a 24/7 throwback channel for the older demographic missing their childhood? I’d certainly watch it.

I’ve been thinking it’d go like this. Disney could acquire the rights to some older works that were last seen on television through Disney in its infant cable television days: Famous Jett Jackson, So Weird, and The Jersey. Also grab the short lived rights of My Babysitter’s a Vampire, Life with Derek and Naturally Sadie from Canada. Then take their huge library of classics. From the transcendent hits: Suite Life, That’s So Raven, Hannah Montana, Jessie, Wizards, Lilo & Stitch, Kim Possible and The Proud Family. Hidden gems: Even Stevens, Lizzie McGuire, Phil of the Future, Shake It Up, A.N.T. Farm and Austin & Ally. And many more shows that aired from the network from the late 90s through 10s and just broadcast them here.

Remastering old Wand IDs, branding the channel in the classic Bounce/Ribbon era logo with interstitials of Express Yourself replaying.

I know that streaming is a huge part of why they wouldn’t. But it’d be amazing to see them launch something of fan service like that.

Especially for someone who misses his childhood (2002 baby).

I think something like this would be great if they wanted to even replace Disney XD. Which has been a graveyard for a minute. They might as well put all of their current programming on Disney Channel and consolidate.
