Will a coach take me if my voice is nasally?
When I was in middle school, I was in our school's show choir, which gave me a huge boost in unjustified self-confidence. Several people told me I was tone deaf, and for 15 years, I've been too insecure to sing. I also am not tone deaf, I'm just not ear-trained.
Due to a broken nose, my speaking and singing voice is nasally, and I do not have professional aspirations I just want to be able to sing again. If my voice will always sound pretty bad, and I don't have professional aspirations, will a vocal coach take me? Or will they just tell me it's a waste of time? With how insecure I already am about my singing voice, I really don't want to sing in front of a coach just for them to refuse to train me.
