Want to try US Mobile, don't want to lose my number in the trial. I'm not sure how to go about this if US Mobile doesn't work for us.
I'm currently on the AT&T network. We've been with AT&T for six years and even with a discount, our monthly bill is over $140 for two phones. We own both phones. We are both traveling professionals that move about the country and my husband alone uses about 47GB/month of data. US Mobile appealed to me because of the ability to swap networks if necessary.
I thought it was even better that I could try US Mobile for 30 days before committing to make sure it can provide everything we need.
But, I don't see a way to truly try this without messing up my AT&T account.
We've had our numbers for nearly 20 years (ported them in to AT&T) so changing those is not an option.
I don't see how it's possible to port my number out (while keeping my husband on our AT&T plan while I'm the guinea pig testing out US Mobile) and then reactivating (or porting my number back in) if US Mobile doesn't work out.
Am I correct in assuming this? Is there a way to truly test US Mobile and still be able to go back if it doesn't work how we need it to?
