Lgg Saturn Pro vs Ninja fx zero
Hey everyone, I’m looking for some help/recommendations for my next mousepad.
Right now I’m using the ATK Sky Pro, and honestly it feels kinda “boring” to me. Recently I tried using Tiger Ice V2 dot skates on it, but I clearly had issues with the mouse sinking into the pad because the pad itself is pretty soft. I ended up adding more dots just to stop the mouse from digging into the surface.
I mainly play Valorant, and honestly this combo (the pad + the dots) just feels very underwhelming. I originally bought it because I didn’t want to spend too much money, but at this point budget honestly isn’t a problem anymore. I’m open to trying basically anything, even glass pads if needed.
For reference, I play Valorant at 0.157 sens / 1600 DPI.
The main issue is that this pad feels too “balanced” in a bad way. I know it’s supposed to be neither a control nor a speed pad, but that’s exactly my problem with it. When I want more control, it doesn’t really give me that. But when I want more speed, it also doesn’t fully deliver either.
It feels fast enough while moving around, but I don’t feel properly “locked in” when starting flicks, and at the same time it doesn’t stop enough for precise micro-adjustments and microflicks. It just feels like it lacks stopping power overall, if that makes sense.
After reading a ton of Reddit threads, the two pads I constantly see recommended for Valorant are the Saturn Pro and the Artisan Zero (Ninja FX Zero). I know there are already a million debates comparing these two, but honestly what I’d really like are direct recommendations for full combos, like:
- Saturn Pro + specific skates
- Artisan Zero + specific skates
I’m getting deeper into the hobby and I genuinely want to experiment with different setups.
I’ll also admit the red Saturn Pro looks really appealing to me because I absolutely love red mousepads. On the other hand, the new TenZ Artisan Zero version is currently out of stock, which is kinda unfortunate.
I’ve also seen a lot of people saying Soft or Mid is usually better if you’re using dot skates. Honestly, I feel like Soft or Mid would probably fit me best too, even though I do a lot of microflicks. But I’m still completely open to recommendations.
I also just wanted to hear what people in this subreddit are currently using for Valorant and what setups you guys personally enjoy the most.
I’m open to trying a lot of different things, and hopefully finding the right setup for my next purchase. Even if I buy one of the two now, I could easily buy the other one a month later and compare both. I really don’t mind. I’m just struggling to decide what my first “serious” mousepad purchase should be.
