I spent almost a week reading through threads before finally pulling the trigger on this dark grey lizard Kelly with silver hardware. I've only ever owned regular leathers before, and I wanted to try something more distinct. Went with lizard because I've seen people mention it's easier to maintain than croc for daily wear. Silver hardware also felt more versatile than gold—works for both office and weekends.
Seller just sent the PSPs over. The shape matches what I've seen in reviews—side profile is clean and structured, good trapezoid silhouette. Hardware stamping is fairly crisp, no blurry or rough edges.
But there's one thing I kept staring at in the pics and wanted to run by you experienced folks. How much does this dark grey shift between studio lighting and natural daylight? I saw some people mention lizard can look way lighter in studio shots and ends up darker in person—so I'm a bit unsure. Also, does this scale density look acceptable to you? Front looks fine to me, but the pattern shift around the side panel—is that normal?
Thanks for reading through this. If anyone with lizard experience is willing to share, I'd really appreciate it.
Been waiting for this combo for a while. The leather is really soft and it matches my whole wardrobe. So obsessed!
