I (F20) handmade gifts for my bf (M20)who’s turning 21 but mutual M22’ friends say it’s not good enough.
My boyfriend of 3 years 21st birthday is coming up in a few days, since I am 20 I can’t buy him alchohol but thought I would also just give him money to buy himself a drink. I also got him a really nice electric razor that was around 200$ as a Christmas gift so I’m not in a place to really spend that much money so I hand made two colognes that take months to finish. One is a smoky vanilla and the other is more earthy. I also painted him a portrait of a red dragon since he’s into dnd.
I have been trying to get feedback on my gifts and our mutual friend male ‘22 says I’m cheaping out on his birthday and these don’t seem to be much of a gift. My boyfriend also made a comment saying he hopes I will spend over 100$ on his gift I couldn’t tell if he was joking or not. In reality I only spent maybe 10$ all the stuff I already had. I’m not sure what to do there’s only a three more days until his birthday. I’m kinda stuck of trying to find something to buy him or leave it be. What would be the right move here?
