I have a crush on my co worker, am I overthinking this?
Me and my coworker are the new people who just started working at our place of employment. I've got 2 months ahead of her but my first time meeting her it felt like when we looked at eachother's eyes, two lightning bolts struck like we were on the same wave-length. I've been single for 4 years and haven't had a drive to be with anyone. She kind of sparked that in me again, but I left her alone and kept it 100% platonic (shes a co worker, I don't shit where I eat), type of self psyching myself out of maybe hitting on her. A few weeks went by of us chit-chatting here and there, and I noticed other dudes at work were trying to hit on her, which furthered me from even wanting to try talking to her. Toooo much work and competition and I dont chase. So time passes and one day I'm sitting by myself at break and she comes over to me sits near me and starts opening up and asking me questions about myself. We get to chatting about family, pets history and it seems like she's interested in me. She then mentioned she is getting picked up by her boyfriend. And I'll admit even though I'm not trying to join the dating scene, I got sad finding out she had a boyfriend. I'm a respectful guy and respected her and her dude relationship so I super backed off any flirting. Well today we are on break again in the same room and we start talking about hobbies and nature and then she tells me randomly that she had been joking about breaking up with her boyfriend if he keeps picking her up late. I chuckled and made a joke about him driving slow and reclined in the car, and then she said the same thing again but less jokey..... I'm not trying to get my hopes up, but why on earth would she just randomly tell me shes thinking about breaking up with him? Sincerely
