Fork in GS progression
Hey guys. I'm currently on my first GU playthrough and having a fantastic time so far, but I've hit a slight speedbump and am hoping some more experienced players could give me some advice. I mained CB in 4U, Rise, and World but decided to switch to greatsword in GU for the hell of it. I've made it to village 8 star no problem but now I'm starting to see some issues. I've used the LR rathalos set and cheda blade up until now with no issues. With Decos I have attack up L and weakness exploit. I feel that my defense is too low for my current stage and the 8 star lavasioth absolutely obliterates me. My question is should I suffer until the next rank and just go for Rathalos S or make a HR armor set? I have the makings of a HR Mosgharl-Regios mix set for later but outside of that I'm strapped for HR gear. I would really just love to know whether it's worth my time to grind for something like the Volvidon S set or something at this stage. Any help is appreciated. Thank You!
